Antagrade Testing & Maintenance Services
Antagrade Electrical has in-house resources available for testing, maintenance and fault-finding services on a wide range of equipment and systems in common use in traction supplies and power distribution.
With our own trained and authorised staff, tooling and test equipment, we deliver a service which carries full ISO9001 accreditation and can be tailored to your needs, either as part of regular maintenance programmes or on a one-off basis.
Services we currently offer using our own equipment are listed below. We have a close working relationship with a number of instrument suppliers, enabling us to supplement our stocks where additional specialist equipment is required
- HV and DC Switchgear
- DC Pressure Testing up to 120 kV.
- AC Pressure Testing up to 30 kV.
- Protection Relay Injection Testing
- Short Circuit Testing for prototype developments or new installations
- Primary injection and end-to-end testing of HV feeder protection.
- Earth farm testing, including the latest non-disruptive techniques, avoiding the necessity for disconnection.
- Circuit Breaker Maintenance
- Switching and Isolation services to support maintenance or project works

HV Cables
- Fault Location using BAUR ATG2 HV cable burn out equipment.
- Fault Location using BAUR SSG1000 HV voltage generator equipment (cable thumper).
- BAUR UL20 universal locator, ground microphone and detecting rod for fault location in conjunction with the BAUR SSG voltage generator.
- Pressure Testing using mains and battery operated HV DC test equipment.
- Cable Spiking using hydraulic or cartridge spiking equipment
